I stayed pretty quiet early at the final table. With 6 left I won a big flip vs slot online when my AQo rivered an Ace vs his pocket 4’s. On the money bubble I started stealing like mad.

I had one very interesting hand against Bayne that I might post later in the week if I remember. I folded a hand getting great pot odds against him. I figured I could steal more later if folded and kept him alive. It worked to, I had about 65% of the chips in play when I busted leftylu on the bubble.

I busted Bayne in 4th in a BvB battle. My AQ held against his K4. The final three wasn’t easy though, I kept doubling people up. Wwonka69 busted Cemfredmd in third when his KJ couldn’t catch a King vs wonka’s pocket Jacks.

Going into heads-up play, Wonka had almost a 2-1 chip lead, but I still had over 30 big blinds. There was going to be plenty of room for play still. I was getting a little frustrated early. He had been making massive overjams on me for five and six times the size of the pot. We were deep enough that I knew I just had to be patient. I wasn’t going to be able to out-aggressive him. I was just going to have to wait him out and wait for him to make a mistake.

It finally happened when I had T6o in the big blind and he just completed from the small blind. The flop came T-6-2r giving me top two pair, I checked and he checked behind. The turn came a 7 and I led out for almost full pot. He jammed once again for almost 5 times the size of the pot…

He rivered 2 pair but it wasn’t good enough and I had the chip lead back. He asked if I wanted to chop, but I just didn’t think it made any sense to chop, so we played it out. A few hands later my pocket Kings outran his AJo for the MATH title…

Coolered again!! So rigged. With 75k and the blinds at 3k/6k, he jammed AKs from the cutoff and obv the BB has Aces. Nasty. Out in 68th for a very nice $8,251 pay day. 68th out of 2,628 in a WSOP tourney is definitely quite and accomplishment. Great job Stoner!!
